Beautiful and disturbing in equal measure

Photographer Mandy Barker has created this amazing series of swirling imagery all centred around the vast amount of marine debris fished out of our oceans and seas.

On the one hand, it's stunning artwork, painstakingly put together and captured - beautiful.

On the other, just look at how many different images she's been able to produce, all with completely different objects in them - deeply disturbing.

An excellent project that combines spectacular work and a vital spotlight on a shocking global problem.
