Are we donating to right causes?

The ALS Ice Bucket Challenge is the latest fund raising initiative to bring to mind disease areas in need of funding. It's a great idea and the response has been wonderful. I've even done it myself.

But are we actually donating to the most worthy causes? By this, I mean the causes that most often kill us and that we need the most protection from.

Rightly or wrongly, this graphic would suggest not.
